Thank you Project update

A generous donor has made some money available to CLA that can be used to say “Thank you” to a parent or a carer who has supported a person with a disability.

Some of the gifts given so far have been

– Manicure package to a volunteer who helps with child minding when mum is unwell.

– A ticket to the Outback Spectacular to a parent who devotes himself in supporting his daughter even when he is going through some health issues himself.

– A weekend away for two of our fostering carers. Here is the message we received from them –

We are home!!! what a wonderful weekend… of simply resting and recharging our batteries..  The Mon Komo is definitely worth a look, its actually fully self contained units are simply luxurious.

We can’t thankyou enough for the trouble you went to to allow us this wonderful experience. It’s the first time since we have been fostering (over 11 years now) that we have had anything that has made us feel appreciated.

It was also a huge added bonus that we didn’t have to travel far and were home just after nine this morning (Sunday)..
